If you are interested in nature, gardens and (Japanese) architecture, the Japanese Garden in Hasselt is the perfect place to visit. A piece of Japan has been in the heart of Hasselt since 1992, in the form of the largest Japanese Garden in Europe. Built to Japanese standards by Japanese architects, the Japanese Garden is a symbol of friendship between the inhabitants of Hasselt and its Japanese sister city Itami. The Garden stands for inner peace and natural beauty, which is coming forward more and more over the years. The Japanese Garden is open for visitors from March to November.
